Do Not Love The World

Always remember - 1 John 2:15-17

"Do not love the world or the things in this world" this was said by John in his first epistle.

Brethren, today I am here to remind you to understand what is always behind anything the world offers:

The lust of the flesh,

The lust of the eyes, and

The pride of life.

We have to recognize that this is the basis for all sin, beginning in the garden when Satan tempted Eve(Gen 3:6)

So do not love the world or what it has to offer.

Set Your Priorities Right

Life is interesting. Many of you will agree with me that, God has a way of showing us things in the midst of daily life experiences.
It is by His grace that we can face tomorrow, do you agree with me? But many times we plan things for ourselves and we forget the things that concerns God.
In my mind I thought, We make time for the things we really want to do when it comes down to it, (it is all a matter of priorities). In all honesty, I felt a little hurt and I asked myself this question, if I have a friend and I can't make time for my friend every now and then, how important is the friendship? Is the relationship exist if we don't sacrifice time for each other?Later in the day, the thought came back into my mind. I prayed to God," Lord, I need to have fun sometimes because life is so intense with work and other businesses that I need a friend who can spend time with me and have fun."
Immediately, God answered me, "SO DO I MY DAUGHTER MARY, I need a friend who I can spend time with and have fun". It was an unexpected reply. Then, I realized that as we are His children, God expect us to be close to Him no matter how busy we are.Are you asking why?let me remind you of few things:
He is more than a friend to us,
He created us,
He strengthen us each day,
He cares so much for us,
He changes not and He never fail us.(Do you get my point now?)
We should stop giving the Lord the same excuses for not spending quality time with Him, because of being too busy. The day flies by and it is too late to take some quiet time. In the morning, it gets too rushed too often.Brethren, set your priorities right, if God is as important to you as you claim, you would want to spend time with HIM a whole lot more.
So there I am. I stand corrected by my own measuring rule as a child of God, to say,
"Lord I am sorry. I must really hurt you a lot with my constant excuses. Help me to change my priorities so You will know how important You are to me. I know You don't condemn me, but I sure want to please You and make You smile."Once again, in the midst of my busy life, the Lord took time to teach me something. Now it is time for me to act. Join me, let us get our priorities straight. We can use our bible to guide us (the word of God) and also, please be attentive to His still voice.

DO CELL PHONES IN CHURCH TRY YOUR PATIENCE?

Can we have respect in God's presence by switching off our mobile phones during the church service please?

I am a christian, I believe in God and i also believe that silence is a must when the church service is on going. But many times, i have encountered or heard people have a conversation, or leaving the seat while the church service is still on going to attend to their ringing phones, and now, it is getting worse, most people don't even bother turning their phones off or even had the time to put it in the silent mode. It is irritating to hear ring tones when in church, especially when people are quite listening to the word of God.
In 1 Peter 5:7 the word of God reminds us, "to cast all our care upon Him(God), for He cares for us". So what causes you not to believe in this word? If you believe that God cares for you then you should switch off your cell phone when you are in God's presence.At this time you only need to be connected to God and not to your cell phone, praise God!
May be you are saying, you have a sick person at home and you are expecting news of her/his condition for at anytime, listen, God will take care of that.
If you are one of them who are on call on that day and you ar expecting to be called for work, listen, if you don't believe that God will take care of that, it is better for you not to be in His presence during that time. Do you realize that you can easily miss your breakthrough because of going out and about during the church service, so what is the point of being on call in the church? There's no way we can save two masters!!
I also believe that before we come to church, we already prepared our heart, mind and our souls to worship and praise the Lord. So let us ask God for the grace to fear Him and to switch off our mobile phones at least for that 60 minutes, or two hours of church service.
What can we say to people whose mobile phones chirps while during the church service?Do you say anything to them? or do you pray that they will get some sense to leave their phones at home next time when they come to church?
Personally, I don't care if Cell Phones should be banned in the church.That will be great!It is only for few minutes or hours, isn't it? I have been attending a lot of job interviews in the past, and everywhere i went there was a sign that requests people to switch off their mobile phones. If we can switch off our mobile phones during the two hours of job interview what makes it too hard for us to turn them off during the two hours of church service? Ask for more help and the grace from God.

For those who are leaders in the church, I recommend to us to be careful, the congregation is watching us, whatever we do that will be an example for people to follow. If we are walking around with cell phones, checking out of who have texts or called us, then what would you expect the congregation to do?

As church leaders, we should announce to people to put their phones into silent mode before each service, otherwise it's really disrespecting and annoying that these people have no sense to discipline in this kind of way. I just want to remind us that we should be very aware that we are in the house of GOD, and nothing can separate us from the love God, not even mobile phones, Praise God!

Easter Message

Brethren, just to remind ourselves that Easter itself have only one message and that is:
"You and I are so loved personally by God that He gave His only Son to die on the Cross"

Think about it!

If you look around you, your wife, your husband, brothers, sisters, friends, and other relatives. Is there anyone, I mean anyone at all among them, who is willing to die for you?

Therefore, "If today you hear His voice, harden not your heart"(Hebrews 3:15)

May this Easter be for each of us, a season of cleansing, renewal, and strengthening of our faith.

Have You Been Hurt, Offended or Intimidated?

In James 1:v2 (NKJV) says, “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials.”
Brethren, it is a big challenge to be a Christian believer.
I am sorry to say this to you that if you are a believer and you have never faced challenges in your life, then you are not a true believer. Because immediately you confess that Christ is your Lord and your savior that is when the trials begin.

What would you say about the Challenges? Are they good or bad?

For me, they are all good because they have been my best teacher all through; I have learned to focus on what the word of God says.
In the book of John 14:27, the word of God says. “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid.”
So I m here to urge you my brethren, that do not allow any of the trials (anger, unforgiveness, offences, disappointments, discouragements, intimidation, etc) and sometimes people will say things which will hurt you, but with all these just ask yourself this question.
Is it worthy to exchange the peace that God has given you with anger just because someone has offended you or hurt you in any ways? Certainly not worthy, praise God!

Why do we face these types of difficulties? I discovered that it is when God is about to bless you, or when you have been blessed then Satan become unhappy chap, and he plans to make you unhappy too. I also discovered that, God can challenge us to test our faith. Just the way He did to Job (Job 1:6-12) so it is the time to stay tuned in God.

I have being through tough times when people could say anything and everything they want to say about me, but was it worth to allow the peace of God to depart from me? No! I fell too hard but God helped me back up and I held on. Thanks be to God who always leads us to triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14)
For that reason, I have been blessed so much that I don't even have the space here to tell you everything that God has blessed me with and He is still blessing me. Amen!

So if you are facing any challenge right now, just hold on to God as tight as you can and don't let go. Because your blessing is coming and when it does, I can't even tell you how it feels. Hallelujah! God puts those He loves and who He has plans for, through the fire. Where He has molded and shaped you to get all of the impurities out and then He puts you in the kiln to set what He has created to a permanent refined beauty. God is the Potter and we Christians are his clay.
Just hold on, joy is coming!!

Nothing Can Separate Us

"For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord"(Romans 8:38-39)

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness or peril or sword?" (Romans 8:v35)
Are you going to be separated from the love of God because of the economic recession?

Brethren, I want to encourage you as well as to remind you that, the love of God goes way beyond human love you have ever experienced.People may come and go in your life but God is always with you.He will never leave you or forsake you.

Human love may be conditional, but the love of God is supernatural, unconditional and it knows no limits.There is nothing you can do to earn His love and nothing you can do to stop His love.

The scripture tells us that His love is patient, His love is kind, His love believes the best in you.His love redeems and restores you.

Don't worry about what other people says about you or what you may think about yourself now. You need to remember that you are God's most prized possession, and nothing can separate you from His Love.

Brethren, let us thank God for loving us and setting us free and for restoring the broken places. We must surrender everything we have to Him and ask Him to fill us with His Love in Jesus name- Amen!

Do Not Judge(Matthew 7:1-3)

"Judge not, that you be not judged.( Matt 7:1), we are encouraged to refrain from judging one another. Not to pick on people or jump on their failures or criticise their faults, otherwise we will get the same treatment."For with what judgment you judge you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you"(Matt 7:2).".... why do you look at the speck in your brother's eye but do not consider the plank in your own eye?(Matt 7:3)

The bible tells us that Jesus does not forbid criticism, opinions or the condemnation of wrongdoing. What He forbids is the spirit of faultfinding that overlooks one's own shortcomings.

In Luke 6:37b it says "Forgive, and you will be forgiven." It tell us to be easy on people and we will find life a lot easier.

Brethren, we are commanded by Our Creator to treat everyone with care and love the same way we want to be treated(Matthew 7:12)

Please read Ephesians 4:26-31 and take these verses to heart.

When you hear gossip or any evil speaking pray for the victim. As Christians that is what we have to train ourselves to do.Even while others continue to break down people with their words, use your prayers to build them back up again.

When You Are Blessed Do Not Forget God

Nehemiah 9:v35
Please read the above scripture, ask God for more understanding and meditate on it, above all be the doer of it in a way that you will not allow God's blessings to make you forget Him.
This scripture made me to understand that every thing that God has blessed me with, I have to use them to serve Him and glorifying His name.I have to bless His name for large and rich land of the United Kingdom that He set before me and to give Him thanks for the good things He has given me.If we don't do that it means we have not turn from our wicked ways.

Let us look at the following questions:
When God bless you with a car how do you use it in His service?Do you see and help anyone who is in need of a lift to church when you go to church? or is it the time to start shuttling to and from our own businesses?
When God bless you with the fruit of the womb, will you use your child as an excuse for not coming to His presence? or an excuse of being late to church?
You cried for a wife or a husband for almost ten years and God heard your cry, are you going to say to God that you missed the bible study, Sunday service or leader's meetng because of either you were cooking for your husband? or it was a valentine day you had to take your wife out?It is not wrong taking your wife out but was God your first priority on that time?certainly not! that is why you missed out the things of God.
God has given you the job at the place were you are working right now, it is for a reason, one of it is to appreciate God by testifying to those who you are working with about Christ and how God blessed you with that job. Do you tell others about God's goodness?
You have your own house, it is God's blessing. Have you considered of using it to fellowship with your brethren even once?
God has blessed you with good health, are you in the front line doing the work in His house? or are you among them who says, "I am not a leader" and so they don't see the point of doing anything for God in the church.
As Christians, we should not remain silence, there's a lot to talk about Christ. If you have never talk about Christ to anyone you can talk to someone from today.If you don't know what to say just tell them how wonderful Jesus Christ is and the great things He has done in your life or your family.Remember this is the way to overcome the devil.
Please let us start appreciating God for His blessings upon us by putting Him first in everything we do in life(Matthew 6:33).

Surely God will bless us more if we learn to appreciate Him!

Seek God even at theTime of Finacial Crunch, He satisfy us

Psalm 37:19 it says
"They shall not be put to shame in the time of evil; and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied"

Are you expecting increase and abundance this year 2009?

Notice this verse tells us that the righteous, those who follow God's commands, will be satisfied even in times of famine. Even when it looks like there is no resources, God has a plan to provide for His people.

The scripture also tells us that God is looking for

People who will be faithful to Him,

People who will trust Him,

People who will believe that He is the God of more than enough!

God always shows Himself strong on behalf of the people who seek Him first, even during the most difficult times like this year 2009.

No matter what we may be facing today, God wants

To show Himself strong for you,

To make a way where there seems to be no way, and

To satisfy us and bless us abundantly so that we can reach out and be a blessing to the people around us.

Let us take a step of faith today and begin to declare His promises over our lives, that He is the One who satisfies us all the days of our lives.

Keep Waiting for God - Isaiah 40:31

So many times we read the scripture from the book of Isaiah 40: v31 (Please read it if you don't know what it says) and many times I hear Christians saying it but they don't follow it. In this verse God says He will do four things but only for those who will wait on Him. This is what He said,
1)He shall renew their strength
2)They shall mount up with wings like eagles
3)They shall run and not be weary
4)They shall walk and not faint
In other words it means that God acts on behalf of those who wait for Him. Praise God!
I remembered a story told by a minister of God of a person who waited on God.
"Lord I want to learn to wait upon you."So every night from about 12 onwards right up to one, he consecrated one hour just to wait on God. He would enter his prayer closet and kneel before Him saying, "Lord I am waiting for you."Many months passed and after many months one day he came to God and he said, "Lord this is the last night that I am waiting on you." And towards the end of his waiting he felt the presence of the Lord standing behind him. He did not dare to look around. He wondered what to say, and what to do. Before he could say anything he felt the Lord putting His hand on his shoulder. And he felt that the hand was wet.He said, "Lord why is your hand wet?
"The Lord said,"I am weeping because many of my people did not wait for Me. They always rush ahead of Me. They always do things by themselves. And my people did not wait for Me."
When he heard that he started crying and he started weeping. And that experience changed his whole life.

My brethren, are you waiting for God to perform His word in your life?
Don't worry! may be we have learned the same thing from this message:
That, it doesn't matter how long we have waited or how long we will wait for Him but the important thing is to keep waiting for Him. Because He is the one who gives life, the grace and He is in control of everything.
As christian believers we must wait for Him, It will be sad to hear that God is weeping because we have failed to wait on Him.

Please ask God for the grace to wait for Him in Jesus name.

On My Birthday, Feb 2009

It is amazing the words of encouragement that i have received for my birthday so far.

My mother called me at 5 am from Tanzania wishing me a happy birthday, (mind TZ is three hours ahead of UK time during winter) so it was 8am in TZ. God bless my dear mother! She made me lough, she said to me Have you started celebrating your additional year? and I said to her that I woke up earlier and i gave glory to God and I went back to sleep. She was so surprised, and she said to me,"do you mean you are sleeping at this time?, (she was looking at her watch- TZ time) have you forgotten that it is your birthday? wake up and go and have your shower my daughter". I said to her "Mama it is 5 o'clock here, early morning" and she said, oh i am sorry and so she prayed for me saying, God's purpose for my life must come to pass this year in the name of Jesus and she called me again later when we could talk more.
Anyway, that was my darling mother, she never sees us as adults, she always think of us as babies, she still want to do the things she used to do for us when we were young under her roof. She is so nice. I guess this applies to all mothers. God bless them!

I also got a very encouraging message from my pastor. This was very funny!This is what he said, "The chicken I planned to send you for your birthday escaped and was found in a nearby church saying: "I shall not die but live to witness the goodness of God in Mary's life". And so he finished his message by telling me that I will surely live to behold the glory of God and this year will be my best year ever in Jesus name.
That was good to hear that the chicken escaped because of wanting to be a witness of all that God is going to do in my life this year.-Amen

The following email message was from my Uncle. In fact I give thanks to God for my uncle's life. God sustained him from a very bad car accident 2 years ago. He broke his hip and after so many operations he is alive and getting stronger each day. Praise God! It teaches us not to give up, if God Himself rescued you from death that means you have not finished His assignment and He want you to finish it first.
This was my uncle's message:

Dear Mary,
I am so poor in remembering these important days for relatives and friends. Hopefully, I will be pardoned due to my age, praise the Lord! All in all I wish you a very blessed new Year. As per your blog, God has blessed you so much and will continue to do so according to His promises.Those who wait on the Lord shall not lack.

“Glory Be to God….” (Luke 2:14) It is My Birthday!!

We are still in winter season and it is the third day today with thick snow all around UK, many people have not been able to go to their work places due to poor weather and the cancellation of train, flights and the public buses. But the bible in the book of I Thessalonians 5:18 the word of God reminds us, "in everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for us" So we should give thanks to God for the weather. Praise God!
It is my birthday, Praise God! I am here to give glory and honor to my God who planned my future long ago, before my life began and He has been watching over me from the time I was in my mother’s womb till this day, only for His purpose.
It is a year that the Lord has given me as a gift, a year of living in the light of the Lord, a year of divine solution and total transformation, a time of changing, a time of growing, a time of learning to use His sword. Praise God!As the days goes on, I am getting more matured in Christ, telling those I meet about the wonders of what my God can do and about His word and also touching their hearts through my testimonies.
My brethren, I can tell you that miracles have happened in my life, and today is a new beginning to me as I celebrate this day. Jesus Christ changed me right from the time I received Him. His grace is sufficient, and now I know that there is no turning back.
In this special day, I would like to remind you to taste and see how good our God is, He is awesome. He has been my refuge during my tough times. His provision is always enough for me. If you can only trust fully in Him, your future will be bright.
I Praise God for my life and I will ask you brethren to join me in this prayer, to live a life which will be pleasing to Him, seeking His guidance and to live in His will for the rest of my life, in Jesus name – Amen.
Happy birthday to all who are celebrating their birthday today, may the Lord grant you more wisdom, knowledge and understanding in Jesus name.

The Lord is on my side (Psalm 124:

I thank God for my life. Because He live I can face tomorrow. I have life today and so I will say to you that,

"If the LORD had not been on my side, I will repeat, If the LORD had not been on my side, when men spoke evil about me, when men thought I will not make it in life, when they thought I will not work again, when they thought I will not get married, when they thought I will not have children, when their anger flared against me, they would have swallowed me alive".

I bless the name of the Lord for my life who has not given me as a prey to their teeth.My help is in the name of the Lord who made heaven and earth.The Lord has done great things for me and I am glad.I know the Lord will perfect that which concerns me.His mercy endures forever.My soul will praise the Lord all the time of my life.I will rejoice, I will pray without ceasing and I will give Him thanks in everything for this is His Will in Christ Jesus.

I would like to encourage you now with this word from Joel 2:23-26. Please read it, undestand it, meditate on it and run with that revelation.

Let the the King of Glory come in

(Psalm 24:7 NKJV) "Lift up your heads…and the King of glory shall come in"
What would you do if you want God to come in and help to fight your battles?
With the grace of God it is very simple:
Just lift up your head.
Get a vision of yourself rising higher.
You have to see your life following your vision.
Do not stay focused on failures and expect to move forward in victory.
When you decide to lift up your head and to focus on the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, definitely your focus is in the right place. That means you are setting yourself up to be a candidate of God’s blessing and favor. Hallelujah!
You may ask,how would you lift up your head?
Again it is very simple, by having positive and higher thoughts.
By reading and speaking God’s Word.
See yourself the way God sees you.
That means if you are sick, you have to start seeing yourself well.
If you are struggling in your finances, start seeing yourself with more than enough.
You may have major hindrances, but see yourself rising above them.
So, if you will lift up your head, then the Lord whose strong and mighty in battle will come in. And when God comes in, every thing will turn around to victory! Every battle ground will be turned to a blessing ground, and you will live the abundant life He promised to you, praise God!
Let the King of Glory come in to you now!

My Testimony about Tithe (Malachi 3:10)

We can be self-hindrance and not to receive God’s blessings if we don't tithe

Are you living the good life that God has pre-arranged for you? If not, then it is your time now!

I read Malachi 3:10 many timesin the past and I knew what it says but I never do much about it. I use to say to myself that God knew my situations especially when I had to pay all the bills and other expenses.               (Do you say the same to God till now?). It's never too late. It's time to change, time to obey God's word. God is faithful!

Whenever I received any income there will be something very important that comes up and I will have to use the money to sort it out and put my tithe on wait. The same devil statement “God knows my situation” kept on. Praise be to God that, I asked Him  for help and He answered me.

I remembered before i became faithful in paying my tithe, I use to pay so much money in the things like wrong car parking, charges on unpaid cheques, interests on overdrafts, unexpected amount of bills and I used so much money unplanned. It was so painful that it was all due to my disobedience to God's word (Malachi 3:10).

Brethren, when you have any amount of income, don’t ever think that by not paying your tithe then the money will be enough for all your expenses! In fact, the bible tells us in (Malachi 3:8) by doing so you are robbing God. The money will never be enough, you will not be in peace and you will be filled with fear and worries.

Since I started paying my tithe faithfully, I always have peace even when i have no enough money, I have not been worring as I used to be.

Some of us (believers) have problems after problems due to disobedience to God but we never sit down and ask God why do we have so much problems or even to ask ourselves of how we live as Christians. Do we make effort to read the word of God? do we do what His word tells us?

In fact, God did not deal with me according to how long unfaithful I was in paying my tithe. I thank God for His faithfulness and His mercies that endures forever!

Be reminded that, God longs to pour out His abundant blessing on your life. He wants to open the windows of heaven for you. When you are faithful in your tithes, when you faithfully give ten percent to the house of God, He promises that your house will be provided for. Every time you give your tithe, it means you are declaring that you trust God. When you give, you are putting actions behind your faith that keeps your faith alive. The Bible promises that when you give, it shall be given back to you.
Remember, the scripture tells us that as believers, the tithe already belongs to the Lord and it is holy, or set apart, for Him. So we should not keep to ourselves what belongs to God.

God told us to bring the whole tithe into His house and see what He will do. He will stand against the enemy on your behalf, and He will bless you in ways you have never dreamed. He will open the windows of heaven and pour out His abundance on every area of your life...... halleluiah, Praise the Lord!

And above all if you still don’t believe, God is asking you to try Him now, do what Malachi 3:10 says.

I thank God that I can bodly say that, "I am a  faithful tither". God has blessed me so much. In every of my income, even when someone gives me some money, I tithe it.

If it is your desire to tithe, you can decide from now to be a faithful tither. I am sure God is ready to help you as well.

You only have to believe in God's word.
